The plan divides the Bible into ten sections. You read one chapter from the first section, then one from the second, and so on. After the tenth, UNFOLD circles back to the first section and continues the cycle. The app keeps your place even after you close it, and guides you into the next passage seamlessly.

UNFOLD includes over 1,000 commentary notes from Neil Broere’s personal library — as well as deep dive commentaries from trusted voices from church history. These notes have been compiled from over fifteen years of Neil’s study and include his personal notes, sermon outlines, quotes that have inspired him, classes he has taught around the world, video devotionals, and even the notes Neil has written in the margins of his own Bibles. The note count is being added to daily — with a goal of reaching 5,000 notes.

Each commentary note is embedded in the verse you’re reading. The icon indicator next to the verse number lets you know there is a Scripture note or video note…or both! Simply tap anywhere on the verse and the Scripture note will pop up. Verse references within the notes are all hyper-linked. Simply tap a cross referenced verse and it also pops up to easily read without leaving the passage you started in.

UNFOLD uses the New American Standard Bible (NASB 2020), a translation known for its accuracy and faithfulness to the original languages. Additional translations are being added.
