Unfold app — reading view

“Nothing has formed me more than the daily practice of reading God's Word. Unfold is that practice, made into an app.”

— Neil Broere, Creator of Unfold

The Reading Plan

A plan that never ends.

At the center of Unfold is a Bible reading plan refined over more than fifteen years. It's simple, but it works unlike any plan you've followed before. It keeps you moving through the whole story of Scripture, and you never read it in the same pattern twice.

The Gospels land beside the Law. The Prophets sit next to the Epistles. The Psalms open up alongside Revelation. Read this way, Scripture begins to interpret Scripture.

Law

Deuteronomy 6

Gospel

Luke 4

Prophets

Isaiah 53

Epistles

Hebrews 11

Psalms

Psalm 19

Revelation

Revelation 21

Each day pairs readings from across the canon — so Scripture interprets Scripture as you go.

Teaching Library

Teaching built right into the passage.

Tap the note icon on any verse and the teaching opens up around the exact passage in front of you — commentary, Greek and Hebrew word studies, cross-references, application, and video.

Commentary

Word Studies

The Scribe

What does Paul mean by “the law of the Spirit of life” in Romans 8:2?
In Romans 8:2, Paul contrasts two governing principles. The “law of the Spirit of life” is the new operating power of the Spirit in those who are in Christ — it does what the Mosaic Law could not do because of the flesh (v.3). Compare Galatians 5:16-18 and Ezekiel 36:26-27, where the same Spirit writes God's life into us.
